Copenhagen -

A person opened fire inside a courthouse in Copenhagen on Tuesday, killing one man and seriously wounding another, police in the Danish capital said.

A suspect was later arrested near the Enforcement Court where the shooting took place. The court is part of the Copenhagen District Court.

Police said they seized a sawn-off shotgun.

The head of the district court, Soren Axelsen, told broadcaster TV2 News that the shooting was linked to a family dispute, but did not provide details.

Axelsen said bystanders and court staff were to be offered crisis counselling. - Sapa-dpa
