Washington - An explosive new recording surfaced on Wednesday of Monica Lewinsky allegedly trying to seduce President Bill Clinton by offering to strip in the White House.

In the audio tape, Miss Lewinsky offers to “take my clothes off” if the president agrees to a meeting behind the back of wife Hillary.

The disclosure has reopened the scandal over Mr Clinton’s extramarital affair with his White House intern just as Hillary is said to be preparing another bid for the presidency in 2016.

According to the National Enquirer, the secret tape was acquired from a cleaner hired by friends of Miss Lewinsky. The intern, who was 24 at the time, can reportedly be heard pleading with the president to meet her, telling him: “I really want to see you.”

She adds that she is “too cute and adorable” to be ignored, according to the Enquirer.

On the recording, she offers Mr Clinton two choices - saying she could either meet him at his office or that they could watch a film together. “Since I know you will be alone tomorrow evening, I have two proposals for you, neither of which is you not seeing me,” she says. “I could take my clothes off and start… well… I know you wouldn’t enjoy that! I hope to see you later and I hope you will follow my script and do what I want.”

Miss Lewinsky apparently urges Mr Clinton to tell his secretary that he will leave the office around 7pm before returning later that evening so that the meeting will not be recorded in the White House visitor’s log.

“In the meantime I quickly sneak over and then we can have a nice little visit for, you know, 15 minutes or half an hour. Whatever you want,” she is reported to say.

It is not known if the rendezvous ever took place.

The existence of the tape emerged during Mr Clinton’s impeachment in 1998 but it was thought that the raunchy four-minute recording had been destroyed. What makes its exposure now all the more embarrassing for the Clintons is that it was reportedly made in November 1997, six months after the couple’s supposed final tryst. - Daily Mail
