A local film production company has taken inspiration from Joburg businessman and self-proclaimed sushi king Kenny Kunene for its very first porn flick.
Lasthrow Entertainment, a Soweto-based adult entertainment company, was so inspired by the antics of Kunene, who is known for eating sushi off half-naked women, that they have named their first porn movie Sushilicious.
“Since Kunene has been seen eating sushi off women, it has become an increasing trend in South Africa,” said Mpho Chauke, director of Sushilicious.
“That’s why we decided to jump on the bandwagon and produce a porn movie that features scenes of men eating sushi off ladies and much much more,” added Chauke.
The director described Sushilicious, which hits stores in two weeks’ time, as a passionate and sensual adult flick.
“We have the standard bedroom scene, a very steamy shower scene, a body massage scene, a dining hall scene, and, best of all, a sushi scene,” he said.
“Our movie is not sleazy. But it is a movie that couples can watch together. It includes romance and passion and nothing hard core.
“It’s not so soft that it could be shown on e.tv, but it’s not hard core either,” Chauke added.
The movie features three women and three men, all of whom hail from Soweto.
“The ladies that we have got are absolutely drop-dead gorgeous,” said Chauke. “We got them all from a casting agency in Rosebank and they are some of the most beautiful women in Soweto.”
He added that the movie targets middle-class couples of all races.
“We decided to shoot the movie at an upmarket townhouse in Roodepoort on the West Rand because we had a certain target market in mind,” said Chauke.
“The scenes are very classy and sophisticated. We have tried to appeal to those couples who really enjoy the finer things in life.
“Whether you are white or black, green or purple, this movie targets all races,” he said.
Chauke said it cost over R40 000 to produce Sushilicious.
He added that his friends and family had been delighted with what he had accomplished.
“Everyone is just really proud. Shooting a movie is not easy.
“We have had an amazing response so far and I’m sure when we are holding auditions for volume two we are going to get a great response,” he added.
Sushilicious will be available in stores just a month after Soweto’s very first porn movie Soweto Sex Files was released.
“South Africa’s porn industry is on the up and has been doing especially well over the past two years,” said Chauke.
