London - Eating less meat is “essential” to ensure future worldwide demand for food can be met, experts have warned.

Cutting meat consumption will also help avoid “dangerous” climate change, they say.

A study by researchers at Cambridge and Aberdeen universities found that, at current trends, food production alone could exceed targets for greenhouse gas emissions in 2050.
