London - The embattled manufacturer of the BlackBerry mobile phone is considering plans to split itself into two, after losing out in the battle with Apple’s iPhone.

Research in Motion could sell its struggling handset division and then look for a buyer for its messaging network, which routes emails to users across the world.

The manufacturer is expected this week to report a loss of more than £6.4m between March and May, its first operating loss for almost a decade. - Daily Mail
