Cape Town - The day has finally arrived for eager Apple fans - the long-awaited iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus has hit South African shores.

Twitter was abuzz with tweets from fans eager to get their hands on the latest smartphone from Apple.

According to a report on mybroadband.co.za prices will be between R9 000 and R14 000 without a cellphone contract.

The iPhone 6 boasts a 4.7-inch display, with a resolution bump up to 1334 x 750, while the iPhone 6 Plus features a 5.5-inch display and a full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution.
