Londong – Discerning coffee drinkers already have a wealth of gadgetry available to them to ensure their caffeine kick is as fresh as possible.

Now another invention has arrived to add to the cafetieres, espresso machines and those expensive coffee pod gizmos – a cup with an in-built grinder.

The Cafflano claims to be the world’s first all-in-one portable coffee maker.

Although it looks like a standard travel mug, a manual grinder is hidden inside.

The user tips the freshly ground beans into a drip filter before pouring in hot water.

Fresh coffee then drips into a mug below, which holds 255ml.

The £60 gadget was created by Korean inventor Hansang Yoon, CEO of coffee company Beanscorp, who wanted to drink top quality coffee on the go without having to spend a fortune in cafes.

A spokesman for the Seoul-based firm said: ‘A coffee made with Cafflano is a tenth of the cost of a Starbucks coffee.’

The cups are available to buy at cafflano.com.
