London - We’ve all heard of body-hugging fashion. But what about clothing that can cuddle you?

That’s the idea behind the ‘Hug Shirt’, a top that can send hugs from one lonesome lover to the other, anywhere in the world.

Invented by designer Francesca Rosella — who previously worked for Valentino — the sensor-filled top is intended to keep you close to your nearest and dearest, even after you’ve gone your separate ways.

To send a hug, one wearer cuddles themselves and the sensor shirt transmits the data (body warmth, heartbeat and strength of touch) to your mobile phone.

This information is then transmitted to your friend’s phone and, in turn, their top heats up, tingling and vibrating to replicate your embrace.

Cute or creepy, you decide, but it’s certainly a novel way to keep in touch. - Daily Mail
