Durban - Google has launched an “elections hub” where voters, journalists and campaigners will be able to keep track of all the latest news and trends relating to the May 7 elections.

Fortune Mgwili-Sibanda, policy and government relations manager at Google South Africa, said

the elections hub would give voters access to election-related information, including party and candidate information, where to vote, real-time election news, search trends and YouTube videos.

“Technology is changing the way that voters and politicians share information, debate issues, and make informed decisions,” he said. - The Mercury
