Amir Khan has revealed he has signed a contract to fight Floyd Mayweather Jnr but is waiting on the American to put pen to paper for their mega-fight on May 3.

And the 27-year-old from Bolton has voiced his frustration that a deal has not yet been agreed to fight the unbeaten world light-middleweight champion in Las Vegas.

‘I am the one who signed the contract, I’ve signed my part of the contract, they’ve not signed theirs,’ he said. ‘If he wants to fight Amir Khan, then he should sign it.’

Marcos Maidana, who dethroned Adrien Broner as the WBA welterweight champion earlier this month and who lost to Khan in 2010, has emerged as another possible opponent for Mayweather, but the Briton remains a firm favourite. ‘If he wants to face someone I’ve beaten, then so be it,’ added Khan. ‘He wants to fight someone who makes him look good but styles make fights.’

Khan also revealed he would be prepared to fight Manny Pacquiao now the pair have different trainers. He said: ‘I would definitely consider the fight.’ – Daily Mail
