Johannesburg – International Rugby Referee, Craig Joubert has been appointed as one of the two men in the middle for the Nelson Mandela Legacy Cup match at the Wanderers Stadium.

Joubert will umpire the Proteas vs Springboks T20 match alongside Patrick Jele, Cricket SA said on Thursday.

“To be part of this great occasion is a real thrill for me and I'm looking forward to the match,” Joubert said.

“I have always loved and supported cricket and the Proteas. I watched the recent ODI series in Australia with much interest, supporting our boys and keeping an eye on the umpires to pick up a few tips.”

Meanwhile, Proteas batsman, Rilee Rossouw has been withdrawn from the squad as a precaution due to a finger injury. He will be replaced by Highveld Lions batsman, Temba Bavuma. – Sapa
