Johannesburg – South Africa won the toss and chose to field in the second one-day international against Pakistan at the St George's Park in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday.

The match has been reduced to 45 overs per side after early morning showers delayed the start.

The Proteas have made two changes to their team, with Ryan McLaren and Lonwabo Tsotsobe replacing Vernon Philander and Morne Morkel.

Morkel has been rested for the match following a recommendation from the Proteas' medical team because of heavy bowling loads in recent weeks.

The Proteas will be wearing black armbands following the passing of Graeme Smith's grandmother on Monday evening.

This is the Proteas' 500th match since re-admission. – Sapa
