Johannesburg – South Africa maintained their number one spot in the latest Test rankings released on the weekend.

The Proteas still occupy the summit in the ultimate form of the game ahead of Australia. South Africa have 124 ratings points, six ahead of their Aussie counterparts.

The top two are way ahead of third-placed Pakistan on 103 ranking points, with England a further point down in fourth.

South Africa next play international cricket in July on their tour of Bangladesh featuring two T20 Internationals, three One Day Internationals (ODI) and two Tests.

Following the Cricket World Cup in New Zealand and Australia, the Aussies are on top of the ODI rankings by some margin with 129 points after they were again crowned champions. India are second with 117, and South Africa are two places behind on 112 points.

In T20Is, South Africa are well down in seventh position with Sri Lanka on top. – ANA
