Rain interrupted play in the eighth over of India's innings with the visitors 71 without loss, in their international T20 match against South Africa at the Wanderers on Friday.

They are chasing South Africa's earlier total of 219 for four from their allotted overs.

Gautam Gambhir is not out on 49 from 28 deliveries, while Robin Uthappa is on 18 off 19 balls.

If no further play is possible, with India having faced 7.5

overs they are below the required rate to win on the Duckworth-Lewis system.

They would have needed 83 runs at the same stage to be in a winning position. – Sapa
