DUNEDIN, New Zealand – Highlanders' winger Waisake Naholo was denied one try but scored another to help secure a 20-13 win over Queensland in a tense Super Rugby match on Friday.

Naholo, chasing a well-weighted kick, was beaten to a touchdown in the 36th minute by Reds scrumhalf Will Genia, though replays were needed to determine who reached the ball first.

The powerful Fiji-born winger was compensated in the 68th minute when he received the ball from an attacking scrum and broke close to the touchline for the Highlanders' only try.

Flyhalf Marty Banks kicked fourth penalties to give the Highlanders a 12-10 lead before Naholo's try and Hayden Parker's late penalty made the game safe. Jake Schatz scored a try for the Reds, who claimed a bonus point with a late penalty. – Sapa-AP
