Bafana plummet further in rankings

Johannesburg – Bafana Bafana continued their steady decline in the Fifa World rankings to number 72 in the world.

The rankings which were released on Thursday, also showed a drop to 17th in the African rankings for South Africa.

Bafana’s next assignment is against Mauritania on September 4 in their Afcon 2017 qualifying match.

Bafana’s best-ever ranking was 19th in the world back in 1996, but are now moving towards their worst ranking of 93rd they held in 1993.
