Ebebiyin, Equatorial Guinea - Cape Verde and Zambia were both eliminated from the African Cup of Nations on Monday after playing to a 0-0 draw on a rain-soaked field.

The game was played through heavy rain at Ebebiyin Stadium, particularly early in the second half. Puddles developed quickly and the field was flooded, stopping the flow of the ball. But as the rain slowed, the ground drained remarkably well, allowing for play to continue.

In the other Group B match, Congo came back to hold Tunisia to a 1-1 draw in Bata, putting both teams into the quarter-finals.

Zambia, which won the African Cup in 2012, finished the group stage with only two points. Cape Verde had three.
