London – The English Football Association has given an assistant to Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho a six-match stadium ban for misconduct on the touchline.

During Chelsea's loss to Sunderland 12 days ago, the FA says Rui Faria used “abuse and/or insulting words” toward the fourth official.

Faria also admitted to improper conduct over his behavior when ordered by the referee to leave the technical area.

The FA's independent regulatory commission also fined Faria 30,000 pounds ($50,700) and warned him about his future conduct.– Sapa-AP
