London – The English Football Association has fined Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers 8,000 pounds ($13,200) for questioning the integrity of a referee.

Rodgers questioned whether Lee Mason should have officiated the 2-1 loss to Manchester City last month because he was from nearby Bolton, which is in the Manchester region.

Following an independent regulatory commission hearing on Thursday, the FA says it has also warned Rodgers about his future conduct.
