Ashley Young will sign a three-year contract to stay at Manchester United this summer.

The winger has been one of United’s few successes under Louis van Gaal and he will commit to the club at the end of the season.

Young’s future was in doubt when Van Gaal arrived last summer, but he has won over the Dutch coach with his versatility.

He earns £120,000 a week and the new contract will be on similar terms.

Young turns 30 in July and, as he prepares to complete four seasons at the club, is planning to see out his career at United.

Young also has ambitions to reclaim his England place.

Roy Hodgson’s men travel to Dublin to play the Republic of Ireland on June 7, before heading to Slovenia for a Euro 2016 qualifier.

Young has not played for England since the clash with Ukraine in September 2013. – Daily Mail
