Johannesburg - Ajax Cape Town coach Roger de Sa has been pleased by the performance of Prince Nxumalo in front of goal in the early stages of the new season.

Nxumalo moved to Ajax in the offseason, after an unsuccessful spell with SuperSport United where he joined in 2012. A loan to FC Cape Town followed, then a move to Golden Arrows.

“I have always believed in Prince's style of play and ability,” said De Sa. “He will never give you goals from like 30 yards or far shot headers like Nathan Paulse's. He always keeps close to the box and is always precise with his angle and that's how he delivers. But these types of goals are the ones in the box like the one he scored.

“You know consistency is what I am always looking for and that's what he had worked on and showed it during the match - he impressed me immensely.” Nxumalo has been a fixture in De Sa's starting lineup this season, playing all four of their games and picking up two goals in Ajax's 3-1 win over Maritzburg United on the weekend. - African News Agency (ANA).
