Milan may sell Balotelli

If Balotelli doesn't fulfil his undoubted potential, the likes of Immobile, Napoli's Lorenzo Insigne or Milan's Stephan El Sharawy have yet to provide conclusive proof they are the future of Italy's attacking line. Photo: Antonio Calanni

Milan - AC Milan vice president Barbara Berlusconi has not ruled out selling Italy striker Mario Balotelli.

On Monday, Berlusconi says “Balotelli is a great player but in my mind I don't believe that someone can be irreplaceable, we will see what happens.”

Balotelli, who has four years left on his contract at Milan, has been linked with a return to the Premier League, with Arsenal reportedly interested.

The forward joined Milan from Manchester City in January 2013 and helped the club to a third-place finish in Serie A that season.

Balotelli scored 14 goals in 30 league matches last season but Milan finished eighth and failed to qualify for Europe.

The 23-year-old is currently at the World Cup in Brazil, where he has scored one goal in two matches.
