Roger Federer can become the oldest Wimbledon champion of the Open Era if he defeats Novak Djokovic in Sunday's Wimbledon final.

At 33 years and 338 days old, Federer would pass Arthur Ashe who was 31 years and 360 days old when he won the 1975 title.

We look at three of the oldest champions in other sports:

Bernard Hopkins

- The American boxer was 48 when he became the oldest man to win a world title with victory over Travoris Cloud to take the IBF light-heavyweight belt in March 2013 in New York.

Ray Reardon

- Reardon was 45 when he won the world snooker title in 1978. It was his sixth and final world championship triumph.

Julius Boros

- Boros is the oldest man ever to win a major golf title. The American was 48 when he captured the 1968 US PGA championship.– AFP
