Bobby Brown is set to release an autobiography next year.

The 46-year-old singer has penned a deal with publishing company Dey Street Books to release his own memoir entitled 'My Prerogative' to document the anguish he went through when his 22-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina passed away in July following seven months in a coma.

He said: "Right after I signed on to write my story, I went through one of the most agonising traumas I had ever experienced with the death of my daughter."

But it wasn't just heartache the 'Candy Girl' hitmaker jotted down through tears in his eyes as he was also able to look back on the good points he's experienced in life and smile.

He explained: "I was surprised by how therapeutic it was to work on this project, to look at the entire arc of my life and to realise that although there has been considerable pain, I have also been incredibly blessed."

He added in a statement: "I hope my fans and other readers of this book will be entertained by this trip into the crazy, exciting, fascinating world of Bobby Brown. And I hope they will feel that I have been as honest and open with them in these pages as I have tried to be my entire life."

The publishing firm promises Bobby's autobiography will be "raw and unvarnished" as he dives into the deep details of his personal life, including his relationship with the legendary late Whitney Houston, with whom he had daughter Bobbi.

'My Prerogative' is set for release in June 2016.
