Suburban moms the world over fell in love with the Fifty Shades of Grey, but one fan has since put a darker spin on the S&M-themed novels.

A new fan fiction version has re-imagined the Fifty Shades scenario, this time featuring the abusive relationship between Chris Brown and Rihanna. Brown is still on probation for his assault on his then girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. The attack, which took place the night before the Grammys, left Rihanna in hospital.

Author J.Lola, however, has inserted an erotic element into the volatile relationship these two celebrities once shared for her Fifty Shades of Sin tale.

Her description of her work, which is being flogged on Amazon for Kindle users claims this is “the strange story of Robyn and Chris, and how they find love in a HOPELESS PLACE.

“From the moment they meet, their attraction is explosive. They fall hard for each other. They crave each other every minute of the day.

“However, they just can’t be together. This is a story about love, but it explores the difficulties, sacrifices, and pain that love brings as well.”

The similarities between the Rihanna and Chris real-life story and this book cannot be ignored. Robyn is Rihanna’s real name. In the book, as in real life, her best friend is a woman named Melissa. In the book, Chris also has a girlfriend, referred to a a “groupie”, who appears to be based on Karrueche Tran.

Fifty Shades of Sin is the first in what J. Lola hopes will be expanded into a series so that readers can “follow more of Robyn and Chris’ story, all the way down to what happened that sad night of the Grammys.”

Like the original Fifty Shades series, the book explores the concept of male dominance as something sexy, but the abusive nature of the relationship is glorified, something which has horrified casual observers.

Another user named RachAround commented: ‘Ew. Just f***ing ew. I just threw up in my mouth,” after the story was referenced on a blog.

Another commenter named Freya added: ‘Ridiculous! Profiting off someone else’s pain.’
