Say what you want about Kim Kardashian, but this reality TV star knows how to make lots of money.
According to the Daily Mail, a set of 500 limited edition copies of her book Selfish was sold out in less than a minute after going on sale.
The limited edition version of the book is a 352-page collection of selfies, signed and numbered by Kardashian, with a special cover featuring a bikini-clad Kim. The book officially goes on sale in May.
Naturally, Kardashian took to Twitter to thank her fans.
“Thanks to everyone who got a copy of Selfish on Gilt! Crazy it sold out in one minute!”
The book, which sold for just over R1000 in its limited edition guise, is essentially Kim’s Instagram account put on paper, with the addition of never-before-seen photos from her days as Paris Hilton’s assistant, and the dress-fitting for her third marriage.
Selfish also includes many pictures of Kim’s famous derriere and a few nude shots.
Despite Selfish doing serious business, Kim says we shouldn’t take selfies too seriously.
“You have to have a sense of humor every once in a while,” she told AdWeek.
“So many people think that taking so many selfies is just ridiculous. For me, what's so funny is I love taking pictures and posting them on social media for memories.”
