Mike Tyson fell asleep on a double date with Madonna.
The retired boxer recalled he went to the cinema to see Big Top Pee-wee in the 1980s with his first wife, actress Robin Givens, as well as Madonna and her then-husband Sean Penn, but admitted he can’t remember much of it because he and Sean dozed off during the film.
He said: “We saw Pee Wee Herman’s Big Top. We were with both of our significant others at the time, of course. (It was) in the ’80s. She was married to Sean, I was married as well. Me and Sean fell asleep in the movie.”
The 48-year-old went on to explain that despite having great company during the low-key rendezvous, it was alcohol which caused them to take a snooze: “We like Pee-wee but we were slightly inebriated.”
Meanwhile, Mike, who features on the track Iconic on Madonna’s 13th album Rebel Heart, joked that he still has no idea whether she also fell asleep because he was too tired to notice.
