Ellen DeGeneres hated doing stand-up comedy. The chat show host admits she only took to the stage when she was younger because she had “no other skills”.
She said: “It’s horrible, you only do it if you have no other skills to fall back on.”
DeGeneres, 56, now wants to be a design icon and is preparing to launch her new lifestyle and clothing brand, E.D., next year.
