London - Bobbi Kristina Brown's ex-boyfriend says he is doing everything he can “to cooperate with authorities.”

Max Lomas, who was arrested on January 14 for possession of a firearm, illegal Xanax and other drugs, including marijuana, with intent to distribute, “is absolutely devastated” that the 21-year-old aspiring singer is “fighting for her life” after he found her “unresponsive” in a bathtub at her home near Atlanta, Georgia last Saturday, and insists he had nothing to do with the tragedy.

The 24 year old's lawyer, Philip A. Holloway, issued a statement to UsMagazine.com, saying: “Contrary to what's been reported, my client, Max Lomas, was the person who first discovered Bobbi Kristina and called 911. My client wants nothing more than to see a full recovery. He and Krissi have been friends for many, many years, and he is absolutely devastated and prays for her immediate recovery.

“It's been reported that his arrest in the middle of January might somehow be related; there is nothing further from the truth.”

Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances in which Bobbi Kristina was found after they allegedly discovered drugs during a second search of her property.

A source previously revealed that her 'husband' Nick Gordon, who also tried to revive her before paramedics arrived at the scene, moved out of their home on January 23 following an explosive argument, and police are investigating whether another person might have been in her house before he and Max discovered her face down in the bath.

Gordon moved out of their home days before the tragic incident.

Insiders say Bobbi had been feeling distraught following an explosive row with Gordon.

A source said: “She was depressed and very upset.”

And Bobbi – whose father recently denied that she and Nick ever married – was said to be struggling with the upcoming three-year anniversary of her mother's death.

The source added to Us Weekly magazine: “Whitney's death hit her harder than anyone will ever know.”

Meanwhile, it has been claimed that police are investigating the possibility another person was in the house before Nick and a friend discovered Bobbi in the bath.

Police – who attended the property following an emergency call placed at 10.25am – have been asking store owners in the Ellard Village strip mall adjacent to the gated community if they saw any suspicious persons or movements prior to them arriving on the scene and visited the Sun Trust Bank, which is less than 100 yards away from the couple's home, to ask for parking lot surveillance video.

The source told E! Online: “[Police] were asking if they saw anyone jump the wall behind the house, or if anyone was seen leaving the area.

“But no one recalled seeing anyone or anything suspicious. But the cops also were looking for video.” – Bang Showbiz
