Miley Cyrus has been "hanging out" with ex-fiancé Liam Hemsworth again.
The 22-year-old singer recently broke up with her boyfriend of five months, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and has been texting 'Hunger Games' hunk Liam, who she split from in September 2013, and has met up with him.
Speaking to Us Weekly, a source said: "They've been hanging out in LA, but only a few people know. Dating could definitely happen.
A second source added: "Liam cut her off, but (Miley) would still text him. He eventually started answering. They would check in on each other here and there."
While Liam has admitted that the 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker was "fun" to hang out with, he has also been proceeding with caution when it comes to getting back with her.
The insider said: "Liam has rough stories about that relationship. But he always talks about how fun she was to hang out with and their great chemistry."
Miley ended her relationship with Patrick - who is the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver - because he wasn't who "she thought he was."
A source said: "At first, she was into him because she thought he was a nice guy."
The couple attempted to repair their romance after the 21-year-old student was photographed getting close to his ex-girlfriend while on vacation in Mexico last month, but Miley was unable to get over it.
