Harvey Weinstein has vowed to clear his name following allegations of sexual abuse.

The renowned film producer has been accused of inappropriately touching Ambra Battilana, a 22-year-old Italian model, but denies the accusations and believes he will be "fully vindicated".

In a statement, his representative said: "We are cooperating fully with the authorities and are confident that we will be fully vindicated."

The 63-year-old film studio executive reportedly met the model last Thursday at New York's Radio City Music Hall before arranging for her to come into his office at the Tribeca Film Center in Manhattan last Friday where the incident allegedly took place.

Speaking about Ambra's claims, an insider told the New York Daily News: "He asked if her breasts were real before touching them. She asked him to stop and he put his hand up her skirt. He asked for a kiss, she responded, 'No.' "

Following the encounter, the young woman rushed to the 1st Police Precinct to make an official complaint.

However, a source close to The Weinstein Company, which Harvey co-founded with his brother, has supported the filmmaker who has done "nothing wrong," and has dismissed the allegations as a "blackmail attempt".

Harvey - whose new film 'Woman in Gold' premiered in New York on Monday (30.03.15) - married fashion designer Georgina Chapman, with who he has four-year-old daughter India, and Dashiell, two.

He is also the father of Lily, 18, Emma, 16, and Ruth, 13, who he had with his first wife Eve Chilton Weinstein. – Bang Showbiz
