Jake Gyllenhaal bursts into tears on planes.
The 33-year-old actor has confessed he regularly weeps when he is on a flight particularly if he is watching an emotional movie, and blames his fragile state up in the air on there being a lack of oxygen.
He said: “I get emotional on planes. Doesn’t everyone get emotional on planes? There’s not that much air? Like not a lot of oxygen, you need oxygen to breathe.
“I feel like there’s been a study that has been done about it.
“You watch the movies and like movies I would never cry at on land, I weep at in the air.”
The 'Nightcrawler' actor revealed his latest teary trip was when he was watching live-action movie 'Bears', in which John C. Reilly narrates the story of a family of grizzly bears who journey through Alaska in the winter, and the Hollywood star found it “really moving”.
Speaking to Conan O'Brien on his chat show 'Conan', Jake added: “This time it was that movie 'Bears', I was watching that movie bears.
“It was really moving, it’s really moving. Look you guys seriously, it’s really moving.
“OK, it’s a movie about ... it’s a live action movie about bears. It’s about Sasha, I think her name is, and her two bear cubs and their journey through Alaska from winter into spring
“It’s a tough journey. It’s just an emotional journey through the wilderness!”
