Johannesburg - A scene featuring Ryan Gosling stripping should be box office gold, but the director of his latest film The Place Beyond The Pines didn’t see it that way.
Derek Cianfrance relegated the three-minute scene, featuring a tantalising glimpse of Gosling’s physical assets, to the cutting room floor instead.
The film follows Gosling’s character Luke, a motorcycle stunt driver who turns to crime to support his son.
The scene in question follows his arrest. A prison guard orders Gosling to strip, and the star (heavily tattooed in the scene) doesn’t disappoint as he displays his washboard abs and impressive physique, in his budgie-hugger briefs.
The film also stars Bradley Cooper, Eva Mendes and Ray Liotta. - IOL
