The Desperate Housewives series is about to come to an end, but the on-set feud between Teri Hatcher and her fellow castmates looks set to continue for a while yet.

With the series-ending finale just days away, the leading stars of this hit show presented the crew with a goodbye gift that thank them for almost a decade’s worth of hard work. However, according to the Daily Mail, the stars of Wisteria Lane left Hatcher’s name off the card, signed by Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman and Vanessa Williams.

The gift card came with Soren-branded carry-on luggage and read: “Just know that on all your future adventures you are carrying a little piece of our love and gratitude. Thank you for a magical 8 years.

“Love Eva, Marcia, Felicity and Vanessa”.

A production crew member told gossip site Celebuzz that Hatcher was purposefully snubbed.

“The girls don’t get along with Teri so they organised this and left her out,” the source said.

Hatcher’s unpopularity on set was also revealed during ex-cast member Nicollette Sheridan’s court case against Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry. The TV executive then testified that Sheridan had called Hatcher the “meanest woman in the world”. During the trial, it also emerged that TV bosses had wanted Hatcher written out of the show in season five.

The feud has been simmering for quite some time. In 2005, while the cast posed for a Vanity Fair cover, Longoria and Cross allegedly threatened to walk off if they were asked to pose with Hatcher in the centre. Hatcher ended up on the far left of the frame.

Hatcher herself is coy about what has caused her fellow stars to turn against her.

“I will never disclose the true and complicated journey of us all, but I wish everyone on the show well.” - IOL
