Anne Hathaway is in the "last stage" of adopting a child.

The 'Devil Wears Prada' star is reportedly "nervous (but) happy" about being so close to welcoming a little boy or girl with her husband Adam Shulman.

A source told US' OK! magazine: "Anne is so happy and nervous. She can't quite believe it's so close to becoming reality. It's truly a

blessing, and she and Adam can't stop talking about it."

The couple - who wed in 2012 - are said to be "bragging" to their friends and family about the impending arrival.

An insider added to Star magazine: "The couple has been bragging to anyone who will listen about the new baby they are going to receive.

"But, unlike several other celebrities, Anne Hathaway has opted to adopt an American baby rather than one from overseas because she wants to help kids close to home."

The 32-year-old star and the 'Song One' actor, 34, are believed to be keen to have their own children one day, too, and they are considering making the move from New York to the West Coast, nearer Anne's mother Kate, so the child is able to "enjoy the culture of the city".
