Naughty Boy is “keeping his mouth shut” about Zayn Malik’s solo record deal.

The La La La producer has posted a cryptic message on Twitter, appearing to reference the news that the 22-year-old former One Direction star has signed for RCA Records.

He posted a photograph, which read: “Sometimes, my greatest accomplishment is keeping my mouth shut.”

Things haven’t been great between the music producer and his former pal since Zayn allegedly accused Naughty Boy of leaking a snippet of a music video he shot with Krept & Konan.

Zayn blasted him on Twitter, writing: “@NaughtyBoyMusic you fat joke stop pretending we’re friends no one knows you.

“Someone learned how to upload a video… maybe now he should learn how to use logic ha you ain’t s*** but a faker.” (sic)

However, others have taken to the micro blogging site to congratulate Zayn on his new deal, with Simon Cowell, the head of his former label Syco expressing his excitement for what’s to come.

He wrote: “We have been working on this for a while and I am pleased to say congratulations to @Zaynmalik on signing with @RCARecords.

“I believe they are the perfect label for @ZaynMalik’s solo career and I am sure whatever they release together will be special. (sic)”
