When you hire Jennifer Lopez for a concert, surely you are aware what you are paying for.

Lopez is known for flaunting her figure and her famous derriere in a selection of barely-there outfits, both on and off stage, not to mention her sexy dance moves.

Nobody, however, appears to have told Morocco.

After strutting her stuff at the Mawazine International Music Festival, J-Lo was slapped with a lawsuit for besmirching the honour of Moroccan women.

According to gossip site TMZ, the lawsuit filed by an education group claims that J-Lo’s performance “disturbed public order and tarnished women's honour and respect”.

Both Lopez and the concert promoter have been named in the lawsuit, which carries the threat of a prison term of up to two years.

The show was televised live and even the Minister of Communications was upset about what he saw.

“What was broadcast is unacceptable and goes against broadcasting law,” Minister Mustapha Khalfi tweeted.

More than 160 000 people attended the ten-day festival in the capital city of Rabat, which featured the talents of Pharrell, Maroon 5, Usher and Akon.
