The Kardashian sisterhood is ready to Kolonise social media.

On Monday, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie took over an Apple Store in Soho NYC to talk about success on social media, posting and their new apps.

By Tuesday, Kylie’s app took the number one spot of all free apps available. Talk about post-haste.

According to pregnant Kim, this new venture is about creating a new, personalised, platform.

"We wanted to change our digital platform and make it more than just a blog that we had before. I just felt like there was no other platform that could do it all unless we do it ourselves," she said, adding that she had been up until “3:30 in the morning torturing the Whalerock team to make sure everything was perfect".

Because “our passions are very much individual,” says Kim, each sister’s application will relate to their unique skills set. Kim’’s, naturally, will focus on selfies, as well as fashion and beauty tutorials. Kourtney’s will be about motherhood. “I’m obsessed with being a mom,” said the 36-year-old. “All my friends come to me with mom questions.” Everyone else was probably dying to ask her a few relationship questions, but seeing as this is a Kardashian-Kontrolled event, she got off Scott-free.

Khloe, intent on using every opportunity to show off her new behind, will use her app to highlight her fitness progression. Kendall’s app will follow her jet-setting lifestyle as a model, and Kylie’s top dog status was achieved through features on make-up, her new home and her pet dog. That’s Normie Jenner, not Tyga.

The apps are free to download, but there’s a monthly access charge of $2.99.

While raking in the dollars, the Kardashians gave back to their community in the form of advice for online success.

"Be consistent and authentic," said social media sage Kim, before Khloe added, without a hint of irony: "Whatever you post is going to last for a long time. So make sure you are going to stand by everything you’re posting, because your brand is a reflection of yourself." – Entertainment Reporter
