Lindsay Lohan is determined to befriend Britain's Princess Eugenie.
The troubled actress was delighted to learn Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter has moved to New York for her work with auction house Paddle 8 and has been bombarding her with invitations to hang out.
A source said: “Lindsay's long been obsessed with the royals, particularly Prince Harry, who she thinks is a perfect match for her.
“But Eugenie's quite low-key. The two run into each other at their favourite restaurants - La Cenita and bubby's - where Lindsay makes a beeline for Eugenie and invites her to her house.”
Sadly for the Mean Girls star, Eugenie - the daughter of Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson - has so far rebuffed her attempts to be friends.
The source added to heat magazine: “Eugenie's trying to let Lindsay down gently but it's not working.”
It is claimed Lindsay hopes a royal friendship would help boost her tarnished image.
The insider said: “She's practically stalking the princess in a desperate bid to upgrade her image.” - Bang Showbiz
