Twitter users were shocked when Umlilo actress Omuhle Gela and Channel O presenter Keitumetse “K Naomi” Noinyane aired their dirty laundry on the social media site.

The online catfight began when Noinyane tweeted Gela on Sunday, saying: “Lunga Shabalala isn’t mine… you can have him again, this time not during my relationship.”

Gela’s response was: “During your relationship? Clearly you lacked something… not my fault.”

The exchange raised suspicions that Gela was involved in Noinyane’s break-up with her boyfriend, model and presenter Lunga Shabalala, who also featured in Celebrity Masterchef.

Though Noinyane did not continue to interact with Gela after her initial tweet, Gela snidely remarked: “There, you got what you wanted hopefully I helped launch your ‘career’ @KNaomi_N glad I could help,” and added: “Years on social media, u want to tell people ur man wanted another woman while he was with u. No man. It wasn’t a fight, it was a case of a man being wrong and the woman blaming the victim for the man’s actions.”

Last week on the TV gossip show, the Real Goboza, Noinyane said she had broken up with Shabalala, because “girls were flocking”.

“Things didn’t work out. I don’t think it was our time. He’s doing great in the industry; girls are flocking.

“I think it’s not an issue, what the issue is is how he entertains them or… fits a line between respect and trying too hard… I was like, ‘Me, I’m not fighting any girls. I’m dating you, I’m not dating these girls. So if you’re not willing to step up and respect me, then clearly we’re not seeing eye to eye’,” she said.

Gela was also in the news last week, after the Sunday Sun reported she was being bankrolled by a Limpopo businessman that she was seeing.

She denied the claims and tweeted: “Would be great if they take pics like Americans and show us, to me that’s research don’t tell me u saw me, SHOW me. Not one to entertain such, but when my reputation and job is on the line I can’t just ignore it and move on,” Gela said.
