It wasn’t Madonna’s kiss that grossed Drake out. It was the taste of her lipstick.
That’s what sources close to Drake told gossip site TMZ in the aftermath of the kiss that made him cringe.
Apparently, the kiss at the Coachella Festival wasn’t prearranged – 56-year-old Madonna was simply supposed to dance around him while he sat on a chair.
Madonna’s spur-of-the-moment lip lock seemed pretty aggressive, but Drake also seemed to enjoy it at first.
However, when she finally allowed Drake to come up for some air, the rapper wiped his mouth in utter disgust and the incident went viral on social media.
According to the Daily Mail, Piers Morgan described the incident as “Fifty Shades of Granny”, and plenty more lined up to take potshots at Madonna, who is twice Drake’s age.
However, the singer hit back at her critics, telling her 4.3-million social media followers: “If you don’t like me and still watch everything I do. B****, you’re a fan.”
For Madonna, who usually dates much younger men, her dream of romancing Drake has ended on a bitter note. For him anyway.
In an interview last month, she said: “The lifelong ambition I still want to fulfil is to go on a dream date with Drake – and only kiss him.” – Entertainment Reporter
