Kate Winslet thinks make-up is “liberating”.

The star has revealed she loves to get all glammed up as it makes her feel “confident (and) feminine”.

She told the Sunday Telegraph’s Stella magazine: “Wearing make-up can make a woman feel confident, feminine and celebrated – and I think it also brings a sense of liberation.”

The 39-year-old actress also revealed the secret method she uses to keep her skin glowing and ready for the cameras.

She added: “Fresh air does wonders for my skin so I keep a window open in my room at night for a little bit of breeze. I try to get as much sleep as possible, and drink plenty of water too.”

And her love for these natural skin-enhancing methods has meant Kate has banned herself from getting Botox.

She said previously: “Well, it’s definitely happening on the old face, that’s for sure. The wrinkles are here and they’re here to stay.”
