Stevie Wonder has called for an end to gun violence.

The singer instead urged people to concentrate on “fixing” each other through the “spirit of love”.

Speaking on Central Park’s SummerStage in New York, he said: “As much as we have made some incredible strides, we have also really gone to this crazy place, like them against us and us against them.

“We really need to do that thing called ‘fixing the planet’, by fixing each other, fixing ourselves. That includes everyone, me and us, in the spirit of love.”

The 65-year-old star insisted everyone should be “accountable” for every gun, citing his Claim the Bullet campaign, which he says does not encroach on anyone’s entitlement to freedom.
