Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be seen next in Sanjay Gupta’s movie Jazbaa, but reports have said she turned down a role in another film for her comeback.
It is understood the makers of Sriram Raghavan’s multistarrer Badlapur approached her with a script and that she was quite excited about it, but ultimately rejected it.
One of the reasons might have been that Rai wanted to play the main role in her comeback movie.
Also, the Badlapur role apparently included negative aspects – and Rai did not want to portray anything negative in her first part after her four-year sabbatical.
Instead, the makers cast Yami Gautam.
Apparently Rai plays a lawyer in Jazbaa, described as an edge-of-the-seat thriller. Shooting begins in January.
