Shahrukh Khan’s (SRK) film Fan, directed by Maneesh Sharma, has had its release pushed back apparently because of special effects issues.
But some quarters seem to think it’s because SRK is possibly eyeing an Eid release. He has previously released his big films on Eid, like Chennai Express, which became a blockbuster. However, it was always Salman Khan who got the Eid slot for all his films.
It has been reported that the other holidays or festival release dates are already booked. None of the other holiday dates were free – be it Eid, Diwali, Gandhi Jayanti or Christmas. It was only Bakri Eid which gave Fan a window for a holiday release.
If this fails to happen the makers will have shif the film’s release to 2016 which SRK does not want. – Oneindia
