Announcements around the 62nd National Film Awards have seen some great successes from the Tamil film industry – with movies having already won seven awards.
Vivek Harshan, the editor of Jigarthanda, has bagged Best Editor of the Year, while Na Muthukumar scooped the Best Lyricist Award for the second consecutive year.
The biggest surprise came in the form of Best Female Playback Singer. Unnikrishnan’s 8-year old daughter, Uthara, won the award for her debut song in the film Saivam. It is to be noted that Unnikrishnan won Best Male Playback Singer for his song Ennavale in the the film Kadhalan.
BOBBY SIMHA won the Best Supporting Actor for Jigarthanda.
Best Tamil film was won by Kutram Kadithal. – Oneindia.in
