Angelina Jolie is enjoying acting again.

The 40-year-old star, who previously claimed she wanted to focus solely on directing in the future, still doesn't see herself appearing in front of the camera forever, but admits she appreciates her career more now.

She said: “What a crazy job! I'm almost enjoying it more now that I see it as something I've been fortunate to be part of.”

But the Oscar winner is still planning to cut back on the number of roles she takes on in order to pour her focus into her six children; Maddox, 14, Pax, 11, Zahara, 10, Shiloh, nine, and seven-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, whom she has with her husband Brad Pitt.

She said: “Maybe in the next few years I'll finish being in front of the camera. I'll be happier behind it.

“I'm happy to be home. I want to really focus on my children, doing the best I can to guide and protect them before they are out of the house. These are their most important years.”

Asked about her other plans for the future, she added to Vogue magazine: “I'd like to be part of international work, and see where I can be useful, whatever way that takes shape. I still don't know what I'm capable of.”
