Daniel Radcliffe will be “first in the queue” to see 'Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them' but is pleased he isn't in the 'Harry Potter' spin-off.

The 26-year-old actor is excited at the thought of the 'Harry Potter' spin-off - which stars Eddie Redmayne - but is pleased he isn't going to be a part of the project and can just enjoy it as a fan.

He said: “I'm really happy they're doing it, but I like that I'm not involved.

“I know very little about it, but I'll be first in the queue.”

The 'Victor Frankenstein' actor admits the film offers he received when he first ended filming on the wizarding franchise were “not good”, with a particular low point being a movie he was offered with 'Harry Potter' co-stars Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.

He recalled: “They weren't good [offers]. I was offered a remake of 'The Wizard of Oz' with Rupert and Emma.

“They wanted me to play a karate-kicking cowardly lion and presumably Emma would be Dorothy and Rupert would be Scarecrow.”

The British star thinks he is a “much better” actor now than he was in previous years and is finally able to tackle certain roles.

He admitted to Britain's HELLO! magazine: “A lot of the work I'm doing right now, some of these scripts were floating around about five years ago and I needed to grow up before I went ahead. I'm a much better actor now.”
