Prakash Raj, known for his versatile acting abilities, was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s film Kannathil Muthamittal, in 2002, in a cameo role. He is now to star in another of Ratnam’s films.

Raj tweeted that he was “super, super charged up” for the role, confirming his inclusion in the star cast.

He said the script by the ace director was wonderful and the role offered to him was too good. Cinematographer PC Sreeram has also confirmed the news, saying “the journey has started”, which could mean that the project has been kick started.

Raj has only done a few but prominent roles in Ratnam’s films. His role in the 1997 political drama Iruvar won him the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor and proved that he could pull off powerful roles with ease. – Oneindia.in
