As the end of the year approaches momentum is building ahead of the upcoming movie, Dhoom 3, which stars Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra. OneIndia.in and Bollywood Hungama report.

Dhoom 3 is a third instalment to the Dhoom series which falls under the genre of action-thriller.

In the past we have seen John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan in action in chase and other thrilling scenes from the Dhoom movies. This time, it is Aamir Khan’s turn to keep us holding on tightly to our seats.

Khan, who is known for his versatile roles in films, will be seen in a new avatar in Dhoom 3. He plays the part of a clown thief named Samir.

The-48-year-old is a perfectionist and will no doubt master his role in Dhoom 3 as well.

With the technology boom, Dhoom 3 offers us something new that was not available in first two parts of the series. The film will be released in Dolby Atmos, a surround sound technology.

To curb piracy of Dhoom 3, the makers of the movie are releasing the film only digitally. So this time you either go digital or miss out on Dhoom 3 completely.

Apart from Aamir Khan, Dhoom 3 also features Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra in the main roles. This is the first movie in which Khan is paired with Kaif.

Bollywood Hungama’s Subhash K Jha reports that Kaif cancelled family holiday plans to practice for some additional action sequences in Dhoom 3, in which her stunts are more ominous and dangerous.

Apparently, the Yash Raj team watched her super-smooth kicks and flips with Salman Khan in Ek Tha Tiger, and decided to give a substantial fillip to Kaif’s action quotient in Dhoom 3 – she will perform the most dangerous stunts yet by a leading lady in a Yash Raj film.

Says a source close to the project: “If you look at the other Dhoom films, the ladies Esha Deol, Bipasha Basu and Aishwarya Rai had no real stunts to perform.

“In Dhoom 3, Katrina was given at least three major action sequences for which she was to be specially trained. Now after Ek Tha Tiger, Yash Raj is adding a couple of more action sequences which would be managed by a fleet of action co-ordinators.”

Interestingly, Khan who plays Katrina’s soul-mate in Dhoom 3 does not have that many action sequences.”

He plays a cool cerebral villain, more into the intellect than fists.

Yes, he does have some major stunts, but Kaif plays the more fist-friendly character. And Dhoom 3 is her first full-fledged action role.

Although she plays an aggressive character in Ek Tha Tiger, she was not allowed to do any really daring stunt scenes, said the source.

Apparently, Salman Khan watched over Kaif’s derring-do quotient in Ek Tha Tiger and told her to “take it easy”, and even “whispered” to the international directors to “make it easy”. Says our source: “Katrina always wanted to do a full-on, high-voltage action film with no body doubles.

“In Ek Tha Tiger she could only get halfway there. In Dhoom 3 she has just been provided with even more scope for the hijinks.”

Meanwhile OneIndia.in’s Sahaja reports of some off-screen chemistry between the duo.

Aamir Khan and Kaif were recently seen launching a range of merchandise and technology products as part of the Dhoom 3 promotional activities.

During this event, Kaif was asked about her experience working with Khan.

The actress said she had been nervous but then found it amazing. “I realised he is such a genuine actor and he treats you just like that, just as another co-star on the set, seeing what you can bring to the scene, and I really really found that amazing and really enjoyed the experience,” said Kaif.

Khan was also full of praises for his co-star. “If Katrina is there in a film then it has to be a super hit. When I was signing Dhoom 3, I was told about this,” Khan said.

Everyone noticed that Khan is much shorter than Kaif, but the superstar sees no issues in this.

He, in fact, revealed that he likes tall women. “I never had issues with her height, did not ask her to remove heels. I love tall women,” Khan said.

This much awaited movie will hit the big screens on December 20. – oneindia.in, bollywoodhungama.com
